Thanksgiving resized 600Thanksgiving signals the opening day of a season of overeating, stress, and inactivity. Typically, this season doesn’t end until well after we ring in the New Year. So, let’s do it differently this year! This Thanksgiving, start making smarter choices about what you eat and pick portion sizes to help you avoid gaining weight this holiday season.

Here are a few tips for the largest eating day of the year:

Don't fast: If you wait all day to eat, you will probably overeat.

Drink water: Don't mistake thirst for hunger.

Eat your veggies: Fill about half of your plate with veggies.

Get moving: Go for a walk, play some football, or do anything that gets you moving.

At this time of Thanksgiving celebration our thoughts turn gratefully to you with warm appreciation.

Our best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving.
